How do I sort a Shopify collection by inventory or another field?
Shopify's native sort dropdown has no by-inventory option, so it normally means manual drag-and-drop. With Lasso you say "sort the Sale collection by inventory, lowest first" and it computes the new order and stages it — switching the collection to manual sort automatically if needed.
Can I pin specific products to the top of a collection?
Yes. Pin one or more hero products to the top in the order you choose, and let the rest sort by inventory, price, title, or stay as-is. Great for featuring new arrivals or best sellers above the fold.
Can I reorder or pin across many collections at once?
Yes — this is the big time-saver. Say "pin every product tagged new-arrivals to the top of every collection it appears in, except Shop All" and Lasso finds all the relevant collections and stages the reorder for each in one go, instead of doing them one at a time.
What about smart (automated) collections?
Shopify won't let you manually reorder a rules-based collection. Lasso detects those and offers a non-destructive workaround: snapshot the current product list into a new manual collection (already sorted) so you can reorder freely while the original smart collection keeps its rules.
